Dr. Kristin Karbonik Hannon has been practicing veterinary medicine in Maryland since July 2007, after earning her DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. Prior to pursuing a career in veterinary medicine, Dr. Karbonik earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematical Business from Wake Forest University. Dr. Karbonik currently resides in Brewers Hill, and has lived in the Canton area for over 8 years. Living in this community and getting to know its residents and pets, she has observed a growing need for local, personalized veterinary care. It is this need coupled with the strong desire to provide comprehensive veterinary care to your pets that has driven Dr. Karbonik to open her own practice. After working with Dr.Eavers for several years, together they realized their dream by opening Charm City Vet Hospital in January of 2014.
In her spare time, Dr. Karbonik participates in various social sports leagues in Canton. She attends many sporting events, including Ravens and Orioles games, and enjoys following sports. She also enjoys traveling, hosting parties, attending concerts and spending time with her friends and family, especially her husband, Mike, and adorable pug, Buddha.
Dr. Jessica Eavers Schmidt began practicing veterinary medicine over 12 years ago after graduating from the Virginia – Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. Dr. Eavers attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate studies, completing her Bachelors’ degree with a dual-major in Biology and Wildlife Sciences. She knew from the age of 5 that she wanted to become a veterinarian and has always taken a loving interest in the well-being of animals. Excited to be a part of the growing Brewers Hill community, Dr. Eavers fulfilled her dream of opening her own practice. She is proud to be a co-owner of Charm City Vet Hospital with her close friend, Dr. Karbonik.
In her free time, Dr. Eavers enjoys traveling, cooking, and cheering for the Ravens. Dr. Eavers lives in Harford County with her husband Jason, daughter Sylvie (2) and son Beckett (1). She has three awesome dogs: Copper and Clyde (Labradors), Harlan (Bloodhound), and a spunky cat, Piper.
